Driving the road to Aguerdn Zegzaoun Pass is not a piece of cake

Tizi n’Aguerd n’Zegzaoun is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.639m (8,658ft) above the sea level, located in the Tinghir Province of Morocco in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region. It’s one of the highest roads of the country.

Is the road to Tizi n’Aguerd n’Zegzaoun unpaved?

Set high in the central part of the country, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. A 4x4 vehicle is required. Near the summit is a mountain refuge known as Albergue Taghrot.

How long is Tizi n’Aguerd n’Zegzaoun?

The pass is 39.7km (24.66 miles) long, running east-west from Tamtetoucht to Ait Marghad. If you do choose this route please check up to date information.
