A winding paved road to Mokhoabong Pass
Mokhoabong Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.900m (9,514ft) above the sea level, located in the central highlands of western Lesotho. It's one of the highest roads of the country.
The road to the summit is called A3 Road. The pass sits between the towns of Mantsonyane and Thaba-Tseka. The area receives regular snowfalls. During very cold conditions ice might be present on the roadway, which is extremely dangerous.
The road is pretty curvy and mostly paved, with the odd exception of about 100m which seems to be in a spot shaded permanently by steep mountain sides where winter water runs over the road, freezes and destroys the asphalt.
