Mohale Dam

Mohale Dam

Mohale Dam is a rock-fill dam in Lesotho. The road to climb up the dam is asphalted and includes 5 hairpin switchbacks.

The road to reach the pass was built in spring 2002. It’s narrow but totally asphalted. At 145 m, Mohale is the highest concrete-faced rock-filled dam in Africa. An entire mountain was crushed and moved to build the rock wall.
