Ras Dashen is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.277m (14,032ft) above the sea level, located in the Gondar, Amhara Region, in Ethiopia. It’s one of the highest roads of Africa.
Set high in the Simien Mountains, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. The mountain is also known as Ras Dejen and Ras Dashan. It is often place to violent snowfalls during the night. 4x4 vehicle required. The pass lroad runs south-north from Dil Yibza towards At'egeba.
