The pass, also known as Tizi-n-Qellal, is located on the boundary between Tizi Ouzou and Bouïra provinces, in the northern part of the country, within the Djurdjura National Park.

The road through the pass is fully paved. It’s called N30 road. It comprises many curves and hairpin turns, steep sections and narrow parts.
