Carretera Tupiza-Quiriza

This unsealed road runs fromTupiza, a wild and remote, but extremely beautiful zone. Tupiza is a city in Potosí Department. It is located at an elevation of about 3,160 m. After 63.9km the road ends near the mining town of Quiriza, at an elevation of 3.598m above the sea level. The surface of the road is a mix of sand, rocks and rivers,  and chains or snow tyres can be required anytime. Due its unique location and the climb in elevation over thousands of feet, and passing through remote areas, it is important when driving in these conditions to be prepared.
