Daisy Pass, a truly outstanding 4x4 adventure
Daisy Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.966m (9,730ft) above the sea level, located in Park County, Montana, in USA.
Nestled in the Beartooth range, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s an old mining road called Daisy Pass Trail Road. 4x4 vehicles with high clearance required. It’s usually impassable from November to May. Near the summit are only a few historic ruins left from the New World Mining District.
The drive offers beautiful views of the Beartooth Mountains. It’s a pretty steep trail. Starting from US-212 (Beartooth Highway) the ascent is 6.11km (3.8 miles) long.
