Mexican Federal Highway 131 is a very scenic yet defiant road located in the Mexican state of Zacatecas.
The road is totally paved but in very poor conditions, with potholes. It’s 68.4 km (42.50 miles) long, running south-north from Nochistlán to Jalpa via Tlachichila.
The road is very steep and curvy, with countless hairpin turns. It tops out at 2.547m (8,356ft) above the sea level. From Tlachichila to Jalpa the drive is really scenic, on a descent with incredible views of Juchipila river and Jalpa city.
