Quoting Don:
This road is nothing. 6 miles west of the north end is County Road 867 which runs 28 miles to the same highway 149 to Lake City. This road turns to a single track mountain road and reaches 10600 ft before dropping to 8300 feet in 7 short miles to meet the Highway 149.

My GPS actually indicated I was at 11500 ft but Google Earth says 10600.
