This stretch of I75 is very high because it goes over the Rouge River (refered to locally as the I75 Rouge Bridge-apprx 3 miles long) It has been a source of many accidents lately and this is due in large part by the way the roads are treated during the winter. Due to "budget concerns" it is no longer treated with salt the way it use to be. So semi's have trouble climbing it during icy periods. Icy periods can occur on a sunny day now due to the fact that they don't continously salt. They salt and the winds will freeze it up quickly and they don't come back out until an accident occurs!
