Annie's Road, located in New Jersey (USA), is supposedly haunted by the ghost of a woman who was killed on the road many many years ago. Allegedly she appears as a hitchhiker and if you pick her up she will cause you to lose control of your vehicle. The road really is dangerous because of several sharp turns on the road.
Just off Annie's Rd is a small road where the houses are very small. The area is known as midgetville and it is frequented by teens looking for midgets. In reality the houses have very low roofs and there are no midgets.
In 1994 a local teen was murdered by his friends who were obsessed with Annie's ghost.

This road is said to be haunted by a woman in a white or blue dress. Though everyone can agree that a woman named Annie was killed on the road, versions of the story take multiple turns from there. Some say that Annie was killed on her wedding night; others say she was decapitated on her prom night and dragged along the road. Drivers say that when they pass by Annie’s Road at midnight they see her ghost walking along the road, and she apparently appears on the anniversary of her death every year as well.

The road is allegedly haunted by Annie, a young woman who lived in the area in the 60's, not long before Route 80 was built thru the area. She was going to the prom and got into an argument with her boyfriend and left the car and began walking to her home on River View Dr. Along the way she was picked up by a bunch of sailors who raped and murdered her. The violent end to her life made her spirit uneasy, and so she began to haunt the local road, even possessing men who traveled along it. There were rumors of ghosts and apparitions long before then however, going back as far the colonial days. Is this story simply another urban legend of a haunted road?
Perhaps so, and if that's all there was to Annie's Rd, then the road would not have achieved the legendary status it now has. For starters, there have been numerous car accidents on this road. Realists would say that the road is dangerous. It has numerous twist and isn't well lit. Locals claim it's the curse of Annie. Perhaps they swerved to avoid her ghosts, or lost control after staring at her. Others think she may have possessed the driver and forced him off the road.
