This paved epic road runs south-north from Beaufort to Talgarth via Llangynidr, Bwlch, and Llangorse. This winding road is 27 km (16.9 miles) long.

Is the B4560 road in Wales worth it?

Its prettiest part is between Llangynidr and Bwlch. The views are pretty spectacular over the Brecon Beacons, and the moorland section looks very rugged. Frequently used for test-drives, the road crosses some of Britain’s loveliest open countryside. A drive not to be missed! This narrow, winding road offers panoramic views over Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains, with plenty of challenging mountain corners and dreamy villages.

Is the B4560 road challenging?

Located in the southern part of the country, expect hairpin bends, many blind crests, and a variety of fast sweeping bends. The road tops out at 520m (1,706ft) above sea level. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Ice and snow sometimes close the road. Due to its proximity to the Heads of the Valleys road, this one does get busy on weekends, so it's best to go early, although there are overtaking opportunities.
