Set high in the Italian Alps range, the route to the summit is the formidable Strada Provinziale 345B, also known as Delle Tre Valli. This challenging road spans a distance of 17.4 km (10.81 miles) and is predominantly unpaved. It traverses high cliffs with no guardrails, creating an exhilarating yet risky journey. The road winds its way through the Alps, maintaining an altitude of over 2,000 meters above sea level. In several sections, it narrows to accommodate only one vehicle and is flanked by precipitous drops of hundreds of meters (many hundreds of feet).

Is the road to Giogo della Bala in the Alps challenging?

Strada Provinziale 345B extends from Anfo Ridge Road, located at Passo del Maniva, to the intersection with the SP 669 road. The road can be navigated in either direction. A speed limit of 20 km/h is enforced along the route. While it commences and concludes on asphalt, the middle section transitions to a gravel surface. Despite the presence of numerous rocks and deteriorated sections, particularly in curves, the road remains accessible. Overtaking and stopping outside designated parking areas are prohibited. The majority of the journey unfolds along the mountain peaks.
