The only road in Egholm island

Placed in the middle of the Limfjord between Aalborg and Nørresundby, a short unpaved road is the only road in the Danish island of Egholm.

Egholm road

The road is totally unpaved. It’s 3.4km (2.11 miles) long and runs from the Egholm Havn (færge) ferry terminal to the town of Egholm.

The road is totally flat and very scenic. It’s the only road in this small island. Make sure you leave enough time to make plenty of stops along the way. It will take you to different vantage points where you can see the Limfjord and the nearby range of hills. Beside the rich wild life and flora, the island has a child friendly beach which is perfect for fishing crabs and to find mussels, starfish and many other exciting things you will find at the beach.
