The Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße is one of the most scenic and dramatic routes in the Alps. This panoramic road is located in Austria, in the state of Salzburg and connects the state of Salzburg with the state of Carinthia.

 

Großsee is a high mountain dam, at an elevation of 2.481 m (8,139 ft) above the sea level, located in the district of Spittal an der Drau in the Austrian state of Carinthia.

Silvretta High Alpine Road

The Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road is considered one of the most beautiful and popular panoramic roads in the Austrian Alps. The 'Dream road of the Alps' is 22.3 km long and leads in 34 curves up to the 2,032 m high, providing unique views in a wonderful natural landscape. Expect steep turns and sharp bends, endless serpentines and a superb panorama.

 

Goldeck Panorama Road is a high mountain road located in Zlan-Stockenboi, in Carinthia, Austria. The road climbs up to 1.895 m (6,217 ft) above the sea level. It offers breathtaking views of the Carinthian mountains and valleys.

Timmelsjoch

The Timmelsjoch pass (Passo del Rombo in Italian) is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.509m (8,231ft) above the sea level that creates a link through the Ötztal Alps along the border between Austria and Italy, just some meters below the Queen of alpine roads, the Passo dello Stelvio.

Turracher Höhe is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,795 m (5,889 ft) above the sea level, located in the Gurktal Alps in Austria. The road to the pass has a maximum gradient of 23%.

The 15km-long Panoramic Glacier Road, also known as Ötztal Glacier Road (Ötztaler Gletscherstraße in German), reaching an elevation of 2,830 m (9,285 ft) above the sea level, ranks among the highest mountain roads in the Eastern Alps, connecting the village of Sölden with the glacier ski areas. It's one of the highest mountain roads of Europe.  A sign warns “Mountain Road Only for Experienced Riders.”

 

Flexen Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,773 m (5,817 ft) above the sea level, located in the Austrian Alps in the Bundesland of Vorarlberg.

 

Plöckenpass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,357 m (4,452 ft) above the sea level, located in the Carnic Alps mountain range at the border between the Austrian state of Carinthia and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy.

 

Zillertaler Höhenstraße is a high mountain road located in the Zillertal Alps, in Austria. This toll road is 48km long, and climbs up from 550 to 2,020 metres above sea level.

Kitzbüheler Horn is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,996 m (6,549 ft) above the sea level, located in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol, Austria. It’s one of the toughest climbs in international cycling.

 

Gerlitzen Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1.909m (6,263 ft) above the sea level, located on the north shore of Lake Ossiach in the heart of Carinthia, Austria.

Malta-Hochalm-Straße

The Malta High Alpine Road is one of the most spectacular roads in the Alps. It’s a spectacular mountain road with a length of 14 km located in the Hohe Tauern range within Carinthia, Austria. The maximum slope is 13% .

 

Grosser Speikkogel is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,120m above the sea level, located in Carinthia, in the Lavanttal Alps, Austria.

Viderjoch is a high mountain pass, located in the Alps, at an elevation of 2.737m above the sea level in the Paznaun Valley in Tyrol, on the border of Switzerland and Austria. 

Hahntennjoch is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,894 m (6,214 ft) above the sea level, located in the Austrian Alps, in the Bundesland of Tyrol.

 

Kühtai Saddle is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,017 m (6,617 ft) above the sea level, located in the Austrian Alps in the Bundesland of Tyrol.

The Fern Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,212 m (3,976 ft) above the sea level, located in the Tyrolean Alps in Austria.

 

Radstädter Tauern Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,738 m (5,702 ft) above the sea level, located in the Radstädter Tauern range, in the Austrian Central Alps, in the Salzburger Land of Austria.

 

Klippitztörl is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,642 m (5,387 ft) above the sea level, located in the Bundesland of Carinthia, in Austria.



The BielerhöhePass, at an elevation of 2.071 m. above the sea level, is a high mountain pass in the Austrian Alps between the Bundesländer of Vorarlberg and Tyrol. The pass connects Montafon (in Vorarlberg) and the Paznaun valley (in Tyrol). The pass is traversed by the Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road.

The Vyšší Brod Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 752 metres (2,467 ft) above the sea level, located on the border between Austria and the Czech Republic.

 

Sölk Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,788 m (5,866 ft) above the sea level, located in the Austrian Alps in the Bundesland of Styria.

 

The Brenner Pass is an international mountain pass at an elevation of 1.370 m (4,495 ft) above the sea level, through the Alps, on the Italian-Austrian border.
