Pla de l’Estany is a high mountain plateau at an elevation of 2.007m (6,584ft) above the sea level, located in La Massana, in Andorra, close to the border with Spain. It’s one of the highest mountain roads of the country.
The road to the summit, located within the Parc Natural Comunal de les Valls del Comapedrosa, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Expect a trail pretty steep. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road. No personal vehicles are allowed on this road, only the local "taxis", which are all either Jeeps or Land Rovers.
