A132 is a spectacular and lonely road located in in Kareliya (Russia), between the towns of Medvezh’egorsk and Suoyarvi, with a total length of 194 km.
Medvezhegorsk is situated on the shore of the Onega Lake. It is surrounded by coniferous forests and enchanting cliffs. The foundation of the town is connected with the construction of the railroad during the First World War. Gradually small settlements began to appear around the station. Later they were consolidated into the united build-up area and in 1938 they got the status of the town. The development of Medvezhegorsk was strongly affected by the construction of the White Sea-Baltic Canal at the beginning of 1930-ties. This painful period in the Russian history is bound with numerous repressive measures and the death of thousands of the confined. The modern town of Medvezhegorsk is the town of stone buildings and bridges, it is one of industial centers in Karelia, a important port of the Onega Lake.

Suoyarvi is a town and the administrative center of Suoyarvsky District of theRepublic of Karelia, Russia, located 140 kilometers (87 mi) northwest of Petrozavodsk. Town status was granted to it in 1940. Suojärvi was the second largest town (by area, after Petsamo) ceded by Finland to the Soviet Union after the Continuation War in 1944.
