Passo d’Alpisella is a high mountain pass, located in the Livigno range (Italy), at an elevation of 2.285m (7497ft) above the sea level. The pass is located on a bridle path, narrow and very steep, between Livigno and Val Fraele.

To get the Alpisella lake, one can start of east of Livigno (1816m) to the north and climb up a mostly cyclable gravel road to the pass. One could also start at Bormio (1200m) and climb the many serpentines of a rather dusty but easily cyclable road that first goes to the Passo Torri di Fraèle (1941m).

Then turn left after a little while and the road along the San Giacomo lake and dam begins. The road is not flat. After some time you reach the big dam and cross over it. Well over on the east side, you should follow the road down to the dam.

When you reach the end of the dam a road continues ahead (and later splits up). You should turn right and follow the dam until almost the other end when you will see a gravel road going up among the trees. It is more of a path really, but is possible (difficult) to cycle on.
