Slovenia



The
Vršič Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,611 m (5,285 ft) above the sea level, located across the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The cobbles road to the summit is one of the highest roads in the country.

Located in southern Central Europe, Slovenia is an inspiration for mountain and hill lovers. The territory is mostly mountainous. Very few countries, even considerably larger ones, can boast the landscape diversity found in this country.

Mangartsko Sedlo

 

The road to the Mangartsko Sedlo is the highest-lying road in Slovenia, climbing up an elevation of 2,072 metres (6,798 feet), above the sea level. The Mangart Pass is located on the border between Italy and Slovenia, in the Julian Alps.

 

The Godovič Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 850 m (2,789 ft) above the sea level, located in the Goriška region of Slovenia.

 

Pavličevo sedlo is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 1,338 m (4,390 ft) above the sea level, located on the border between Slovenia and Austria.

 

Road 610 is a short mountain road located in northwestern Slovenia. The road is 11.7km long, mostly paved.

 

Mala Lazna is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,100m above the sea level, located in western Slovenia, in the Trnovo Forest, above the Vipava Valley in the Gorizia region of the Slovene Littoral. 

 

Wurzen Pass is an international mountain pass at an elevation of 1,073 m (3,520 ft) above the sea level, located in the Southern Limestone Alps, on the border of Austria and Slovenia.

 

609 is a dirt road located in western Slovenia, in the Trnovo Forest, above the Vipava Valley in the Gorizia region of the Slovene Littoral, with a length of 22.6km.

The Loibl Pass is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,367 m (4,485 ft) above the sea level, located in the Southern Limestone Alps, on the border between Austria and Slovenia.

 

Kepa is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,145 m (7,037 ft) above the sea level, located in the Western Karawanks, on the border between Slovenia and Austria.

The Seeberg Saddle is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,218 m (3,996 ft) above the sea level, located in the Southern Limestone Alps, on the border between Slovenia and Austria.

 

Predel is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1,156 m (3,793 ft), located in the Julian Alps, on the border between Italy and Slovenia.
