Pasul Mestecăniș is a mountain pass at an elevation of 1.096m (3,595ft) above the sea level, located in Suceava County, in Romania.
The pass is located in the historical region of Bukovina, in the northern part of the Eastern Carpathians, situated in the north-eastern segment of the country..
The road through the pass is completely paved. It's designated DN17, which forms part of the European Route 58, connecting Transylvania and Moldova.
The pass spans a distance of 21.1 km (13.11 miles), stretching from Iacobeni to Pojorâta.
Upon reaching the summit, visitors can find a variety of amenities including restaurants, bars, and a souvenir shop. Not far from the summit stands the "Inaltarea Domnului" Monastery, erected in memory of the Romanians who perished on battlefields or as prisoners of war in camps.
