A narrow road to Cave Biserujka, a Top Natural Attraction on Krk Island

Biserujka cave is located 300 meters north-west of the Rudine village, towards the northern part of the Krk island, a Croatian island in the northern Adriatic Sea.

Starting from Čižići, the road to the cave is 3.2km (1.98 miles) long. It’s paved, but pretty narrow and ends at a parking lot next to the cave. It’s one of the most visited caves of the country. This impressive karst cave is about 110 metres in length.

The drive is definitely worth it. There are many excellent photo opportunities here. Don’t forget your camera! Biserujka Cave, also known as the Vitezić or Slivanjska cave, offers a wealth of cave decorations - calcareous sinters, stalagmites, and stalactites. The lowest point of the cave was measured at -13 meters, and the bottom of the cave is only 30 meters above the sea level. The cave temperature is between 10 and 13 ºC all year round and occasional leaks and moisture occur only after long periods of rain.
