Denniston Circuit (New Zealand)

Denniston Circuit is a 11km road, for 4WD vehicles only, located in the West Coast of New Zealand. To access this circuit, drive through Denniston, north of Westport and turn onto Mt Rochfort Rd. After 1.5 km look for signs on the right to the start of the circuit.

Traversing the historically and naturally significant Denniston Plateau, this alpine environment is extremely fragile so please stay on the formed road. Further information: DOC Buller Area Office Ph 03 788 8008, or the Buller 4WD Club Ph 03 789 8608.

This road from Sussex to Kent is considered to be one of the most haunted roads in England. There have been numerous reports of drivers seeing a young woman dressed in a white dress suddenly appear in front of their car forcing them to brake and making them certain that they had just hit her.
