Located in the Lumbini Zone of central Nepal, the Rudrabeni – Ridi road is one of the most dangerous roads in the world.
This scary cliff road is called Shantipur Road and links the small towns of Rudrabeni and Ridi. It’s 10.8 km long, running along the Kali Gandaki River.
The road is heavily trafficked by trucks and buses. It’s very narrow and unprotected by guardrails. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice.
