Bargooshat Pass

Bargooshat Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.009m (9,872ft) above the sea level, located in Syunik, the southernmost province of Armenia. The average gradient is 19,49%. It's one of the highest mountain roads of the country.

Located within the Bargooshat mountain range, the road to the summit, also known as Bargushat pass, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable in winters. Great trail for experienced wheelers. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point.
The road to the summit is brutally steep. Starting from Kitsk (Kirs), a village in the rural community of Geghi, the ascent is 5.02 km (3.12 mi) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 975 meters and the average gradient is 19,49% with sections up to 22%. 4x4 required. Stay away if you're scared of heights. Wet conditions may make for tough driving along the muddy road.
