Jabal Sabir is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,883m (9,458ft) above sea level, located in the southern part of the Taiz Governorate, in the Janad region of Yemen.
Set high in the southwestern part of the country, in the Yemeni highlands, the road to the summit, also known as Jabal Saber, is fully paved but quite challenging, with 55 sharp hairpin turns. It is called 412 Road (or Saber Road). The climb is steep in parts, reaching a 15% maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
The pass is 44.2 km (27.46 miles) long, running from Taiz, the third-largest city in Yemen, to Ad Dimnah.
