Aizhai Highway (China National Highway 319 or G319) is one of the most dangerous roads in China. It was built in 1935 , during the Japanese invasion of China.

The Aizhai Highway is a winding road, with the pavement too narrow, which runs northwest from Xiamen, Fujian towards Jiangxi Province, Hunan Province, Chongqing, and ends in Chengdu, Sichuan.
Aizhai Highway is 2.984 kilometres in length.
The road is being improved during the last years, with many tunnels and bridges. The most spectacular one is Aizhai Bridge, which will have a main span of 1146 metres and a maximum height of 330 metres, making it one of the tallest and longest suspension bridges in the world, and the world's tallest and longest tunnel-to-tunnel bridge.
